Couch Day

We're having a couch day today.  Amanda is still sick, and I don't really have any reason to head out and about.  So we've been on the couch together most of the day.  Amanda is still knitting away at the silk mawatas she bought from Knit Picks a little while ago, and I've been playing my 3DS a ridiculous amount.

...I know we've been kind of light on the photos lately.  I'm hoping that tomorrow's weather will be nice (it's very grey outside today) and that Amanda and I can take a few while we're out and about doing stuff.

Couch Day Plusses

  1. Quality time with my favourite person
  2. Progress on the games I've been playing
  3. Relaxation -- I don't know the last time the two of us have had such a lazy day together
  4. A different perspective -- I'll feel incredibly virtuous just by going for a walk either later on tonight or tomorrow
  5. My pyjama bottoms are comfortable

Couch Day Minuses
  1. Amanda is still sick :-(
  2. I feel like I really should be up and doing a lot of different things, though I can't think of any that absolutely have to be done today
Anyway, I'm going to try to enjoy the remainder of our couch day together, and with any luck we'll have a new photo or two tomorrow!

Rats!

We're currently on the couch watching Ratatouille.  Amanda's never seen it before, and I'm very happy to watch it again!

We've kind of been going through the movies at a really good pace lately.  Part of that is that we like having quality couch time together, and part of it is that watching movies gives us time to be productive in other endeavours such as knitting and blogging!

That said...  I haven't managed an extraordinary blog post while watching movies with Amanda.  Perhaps it's because my attention is divided.  Or maybe it's because I haven't stumbled upon a topic that compelled me to write a thousand word blog post once again.

At any rate, we're happy.  We're enjoying our evenings, and that's what matters!

Couch Time

Amanda and I just returned from an hour long walk together.  The weather was great for it -- still nice, but a lot cooler than it has been lately.  So instead of sweating like crazy while sitting on the couch we were out and about.

That said, I never mind spending time on the couch with Amanda.  Couch time is often quality time when, even if we're doing different things (watching a DVD, knitting, reading, playing a video game, etc.), we're together and able to talk and cuddle while doing it.

I don't know that we'll have time for couch time tonight -- I'm planning on heading to sleep pretty quick.  But we will tomorrow night, and it will be great!

Pre-Swimming Kiss

Just before we headed swimming with Amanda's sister and her family, she and I stopped outside to take a quick photo together.

The sun was shining, and Amanda was looking incredibly cute.  So we stopped and took a photo and did our best to ignore the commentary from our audience.

The four of us had lots of fun swimming at the Multiplex -- especially drifting along in the lazy river.  Now Amanda and I are together on the couch watching DVDs of the fourth season of Big Bang Theory.  Life is good!

Yup...

I am happily in Grande Prairie with Amanda right now.  After work, Amanda bought Chinese food for us for supper, and then we spent the evening on the couch looking up random stuff online.

Hopefully we'll be out and about taking photos tomorrow and I'll have something new to post.  Until then!

Back Alley Kissing

Well, this sort of passes for an alley in Tumbler Ridge.  Amanda and I took this photo while she walked me to work this morning.  It's taken in the walkway behind my apartment building that is my shortcut to work.

Amanda and I woke up early this morning, and ended up having some quality couch time together which included playing Plants vs. Zombies.  The zombies are still maintaining their ridiculous winning streak.  It's either that neither Amanda nor I know how to play as plants properly or that the game is a little unbalanced so far.

So we left to walk to the library along the path.  It was sunny and warm, and Amanda's hair was shining a coppery-gold, and it seemed like the perfect time for a kiss and a photo.  And it was!

So far this weekend we've only taken one more photo of the two of us together, which I'll be posting later in the week.  However, I have a fun story to tell and some individual photos of the two of us to go along with it.  With any luck, I'll be posting them tomorrow night (Amanda is sending me the photos from her iPhone as I type this).

Thanks for reading!
